Fiscal Fears or False Alarms?

Markets dislike few things more intensely than uncertainty—and Donald Trump’s new presidency has delivered it in spades. But under the surface chaos of unpredictable tariffs and headline-grabbing budget cuts touted by Elon Musk’s DOGE team, the fundamentals suggest that investors’ fears of a Trump-induced recession might be premature, or at the very least, exaggerated.
